The Director, Business Applications oversees a group of professionals and partners in the management of the CCBSS Business Applications lifecycle through the phases of strategize, architect, select, develop, deploy, operate, evolve, and retire. This position ensures that services are delivered efficiently and with a high degree of quality. These services include but are not limited to: Development of new Business Applications, Enhancements to existing Business Applications, Application Implementation leadership, onboarding new B2B trading partners, delivery of new or enhanced EDI maps or other B2B solutions, as well as daily support of all CCBSS Business applications. In addition to overseeing the team, this position maintains a close relationship with the rest of the IT Leadership Team and our key stakeholders, providing periodic service reports and ensuring a proper level of communication with each of them.


The position will be responsible to oversee the collection of Business Application requirements coming from our diverse stakeholder group including the North American Coca-Cola Bottlers, The Coca-Cola company, and various other external stakeholders. This position is also tasked with ensuring these requirements are appropriately prioritized and serviced by both our internal team and our Coca-Cola system partners and external Service providers. As a people leader, this position is also required to build and maintain a high-level of engagement within the team, to jointly define and track individual goals, and to support each team member with the definition and execution of individualized development plans. Additionally, this position will drive continuous improvements initiatives to ensure our services continue to evolve to adopt changes in Technology and to ensure we keep up with the changing demands from our complex ecosystem of Business stakeholders and B2B trading partners. This position is also required to actively participate in activities to sustain high levels of overall IT employee engagement and customer satisfaction as well as in the periodic revisions of the company’s IT Strategy and Roadmap.




  • Work with the rest of the CCBSS leadership team in the definition of our roadmap for IT self-sufficiency, with a focus on our systems and tools for Business applications.
  • Provide leadership, vision, and direction to the Business Application Services organization to ensure it will effectively contribute to the overall CCBSS service delivery and strategic objectives.
  • Work with this position’s key stakeholders to timely identify the need for new or enhanced Business Applications, B2B maps and solutions and to effectively communicate with them through the product or project lifecycles.
  • Oversee the CCBSS Business Applications lifecycle through all its relevant phases and manage the necessary reporting, metrics and benchmarks.
  • Oversee internal staff. This includes but is not limited to: onboarding new team members, definition and tracking of individual performance goals, development plans, and performance reviews.
  • Oversee strategic partners in the delivery of high-quality development and operation services. This includes SLA monitoring and associated corrective actions, roadmap definition for continuous improvement and forward-looking strategy for these services.
  • Define, track and enhance methodologies and practices and proper workload assignments to ensure IT can meet the demand for Business Applications services.
  • This position has P&L responsibilities, including the effective delivery of Business Application services to meet or exceed the financial goals for the associated cost centers.
  • Ensure the team remains compliant with the appropriate IT Security and Audit requirements.
  • Develop strong routines to enable streamlined transitions through the various stages of a project life cycle.

  • Experience working effectively with teams outside formal lines of authority to accomplish goals.
  • Strong leadership, people management, problem solving, decision-making, communication, influencing and analytical thinking skills.
  • Experience as a leader of leaders. Ability to lead, enable and motivate teams by providing advice and guidance in a nonjudgmental fashion.
  • Experience managing P&L responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to perform under pressure and management of multiple priorities with competing demands for resources.
  • Ability to understand both technical and business processes across multiple organizations.



  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent experience.



  • Five or more years of experience as a senior people manager and leader of leaders in an IT Organization.
  • Solid experience defining and implementing Business Application strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Track record of effective communication with managed team, senior leadership, and a diverse network of service stakeholders.
