Sr. Procurement Manager, Ambient Merchandise Equipment

Summary:

The Senior Procurement Manager, Ambient Merchandise Equipment (AME) is responsible for developing and executing strategic plans and initiatives for their area of responsibility including, but not limited to, AME (ambient rack displays, non-electric ice coolers, and glides) and Point-of-Sale Merchandise (promotional, fulfillment, and managed print) that deliver value to the business and meet the needs of a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders. The person will also leverage and maintain relationships with Coca-Cola system entities including Independent Bottlers, Corporate (North America Operating Unit) and members of CCBSS.  The ideal candidate will:

 

  • Optimize cost, quality, and service for inbound supply networks
  • Build consensus and drive alignment with key Business partners for Procurement initiatives and programs
  • Collaborate, advise, and influence business stakeholders and suppliers
  • Develop strategies for maximizing value and optimizing Supplier to Bottler Market Unit performance
  • Drive continuous improvement in his/her area of responsibility leveraging project management and lean/six-sigma methods
  • Develop and implement robust supplier relationship and performance management programs to deliver against SLAs and innovation objectives

 

Essential job duties and responsibilities:

  • Optimize cost, quality, and service for inbound supply networks by developing and implementing standard processes across regions, utilizing data and metrics to identify improvement opportunities and leading regional teams for localized waste reduction/supplier improvement projects
  • Establish strong business partner relationships to ensure the programs implemented meet business requirements and they deliver intended value to stakeholders
  • Develop strategic cost savings, continuous improvement, and innovation initiatives which bring added value to the system, along with tools and solutions that improve or eliminate waste from current processes
  • Drive Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs with suppliers that deliver against strategic, innovative, operational performance, quality, productivity, and sustainability goals
  • Provide needed guidance to the business, including budget, forecasting, risk management, etc.

 

Qualifications:

  • Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, engineering, or financial-related discipline
  • 5 years Indirect Procurement experience with increasing responsibility
  • 3-5 years of analytical experience
    • Experience with advanced sourcing process leadership, negotiating, strategic planning, team leadership (competent), advanced analytics

 

• Preferred:

    • Master’s degree
    • 7+ years Procurement experience with increasing responsibility
    • 5+ years of analytical experience, packaging purchasing experience (display racks, commercial or packaging)
    • Project Management Certification
    • Advanced MS Excel proficiency, Business Financial Acumen
