Position Profile: Senior Manager, Procurement Operations

 

Position Overview

This is a key role for the effective operational management of Packaging Materials spend for the Coca-Cola System in North America. The candidate will have responsibility for working together with Packaging category leads, R&D and Technical, to help drive implementation of key procurement strategies and provide program management. The candidate will be a leader who can contribute to the overall success of her/his Packaging procurement team and collaborate with stakeholders across all levels within the Bottling and NAOU organization.

 

Primary Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position will include the following:

  • Contribute to the overall success and serve as a key contributor to the Packaging Procurement group.
  • Help operationalize procurement strategies together with the category leads on behalf of the Bottling and NAOU organization.
  • Establish and drive initiative / project implementation plans together with Bottlers, NAOU and technical community that contribute to the success of the system.
  • Establish and maintain influential relationships with key operational and technical stakeholders across all levels within the system; these stakeholders will range from front-line associates to executives of Coca-Cola throughout North America.
  • Act as a key contact for CCBSS with other Procurement/Technical groups and councils, specifically Co-ops, CEPG etc.
  • Interface with suppliers where required to optimize cost, quality, service, innovation and sustainability for Direct Materials.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to other operational sub-teams within Packaging

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Management or equivalent work experience (minimum 5-7 years).
  • Experience: 3-5 years combined experience in any of the following areas: Procurement, Engineering, Productivity Program Management, Plant Management (Manufacturing or Warehousing) or Customer Service.
  • Project Management experience required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to establish collaborative relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to influence others in a collaborative way.
  • Learning and adapting agility, with demonstrated ability to learn and influence different areas of the business in a successful way.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, analytical skills, and an understanding of budgets/corporate finances.
