Job Summary

The Senior Program Manager, Information Technology is responsible for developing and executing the technology and automation roadmap for CCBSS’s Human Resources Shared Services (HRSS) function.  This individual will serve as the face of IT to the HRSS tower, aligning business technology needs to CCBSS’s architectural standards, ensuring IT provides the necessary support for the day-to-day operations as well as project activities for the HRSS tower, and facilitating resolution of complex system issues across a diverse IT landscape.  In addition, the individual will partner closely will the Product Owners of key HRSS platforms to maximize technology investments, reduce system complexity, and create competitive advantages for the HRSS business team.  The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical/operational experience implementing, deploying, or enhancing HRSS systems (e.g., SAP Success Factors Employee Central).

The individual will also provide broader program management oversight for the CCBSS Technology’s team project portfolio, helping to steward the Architecture Review Board (ARB) process in collaboration with IT Leadership and IT Business Partner peers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • IT Business Partner (30%):  Serve as the strategic IT business partner for CCBSS’s HRSS team:
    1. Partner with HRSS leaders and Product Owners of CCBSS’s foundational HRSS systems (e.g., SAP Success Factors Employee Central, Salesforce, etc.)
    2. Work closely with HRSS stakeholders to identify and vet new innovative solutions that provide a competitive advantage to CCBSS
    3. Develop and steward the IT and automation roadmap on behalf of CCBSS HRSS team
    4. Serve as the face of the CCBSS Architecture Review Board for HRSS and ensure IT projects channel through the appropriate process
    5. Liaise across internal IT Operations, external IT providers, and the business to efficiently resolve critical IT issues
  • Project Management (20%):  Execute complex and/or strategic HRSS IT initiatives:
    1. Successfully and autonomously lead HRSS IT projects via agile and waterfall methodologies
    2. Quickly gain subject-matter expertise within assigned projects to earn stakeholder trust, steer key decisions, and solve complex problems
    3. Proactively manage scope changes, risks, and execute contingency plans
    4. Ensure projects are delivered on-time, on-budget, and deliver the expected business value
  • Program Management (50%): Serve as the overall CCBSS PMO Lead in close collaboration with IT Leadership, functional IT Business Partner peers, and the Architecture Review Board:
    1. Oversee and track the broader portfolio of CCBSS IT projects executed by IT
    2. Steward the Annual IT Business Planning cycle and track progress throughout the year
    3. Drive standardization and compliance with IT project management and Architecture Review Board processes
    4. Build project management capabilities and skills across the broader CCBSS IT organization

Key Skills and Abilities

  • Experience working effectively with teams outside formal lines of authority to accomplish goals
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, decision-making, and project management skills
  • Experience with deployment or development of business process automation tools
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple complex initiatives in parallel
  • Business case development and value tracking experience
  • Strong leadership, influencing, communication and collaboration skills

Education Requirements

  • Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field (e.g., Business Administration, Management, Computer Science)
    • Experience with SAP Success Factors Employee Central (operational/technical)
    • Microsoft Suite proficient
  • Preferred:
    • PMP Certification
    • Scrum or similar Agile project management methodology certification

Years of Experience

5+ years of experience in Human Resource operations, IT project/program management, system implementation, consulting, or related fields
