Job Summary

The Sr. Strategic Sourcing and Project Manager is a new position with key responsibilities for managing the end-to-end sourcing processes, driving development, and execution of sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and managing key strategic relationships on behalf of CCBSS.

 

The manager will assist in leading change initiatives and controlling processes and resources while supporting all of Coca-Cola’s US and Canadian Bottlers. The candidate will be collaborating with key stakeholders within CEPG (Cross-Enterprise Procurement Group), NPSG (National Product Supply Group), NAOU (North American Operating Unit), Co-Op manufacturing partners, Global Technical and R&D to ensure alignment of company goals. A key part of the role is for this candidate to help develop and lead a multi-year procurement strategy to integrate the specialized and complex needs of our co-op partners with our CCBSS category strategies while maintaining 3rd party merchant supply.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop, lead and implement a multi-year procurement strategy that integrates our co-op system partners as a vertically integrated closure provider for the Coca-Cola system.
Effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to lead Coke system wide vertical integration procurement initiative.
Manage all phases of sourcing for CCBSS including gathering and analyzing data to drive fact-based decision making and increase value via negotiations and the 7-step sourcing process
Develop and implement effective strategies for achieving best in class total overall cost to support companies’ objectives.
Negotiate favorable contracts with suppliers and vendors to attain a competitive advantage for the Coca-Cola system
Connect, gather, and align business needs with key stakeholders within the Coca-Cola Company, and our Bottling Partners. 
Develop and manage complex supplier relationships, including evaluating their performance to ensure maximized value for the business and navigating through a potential reduction in business due to vertical integration.
Analyze and research new vendors, as well as market trends to help drive innovation.
Proactively resolve or manage the resolution of day-to-day procurement-related issues.

  • Proficiency in collaboration skills (with multiple stakeholders); must be able to demonstrate ability to influence different areas of the business in a successful way
  • Knowledge and understanding in building a procurement strategy that incorporates vertical integration while maintaining some outside supply
  • Superior leadership, management, and presentation skills
  • Ability to navigate and flex communication styles across multiple areas of the business while communicating with technical, supply chain and Coke system board members.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple complex and high visibility projects and communicate timelines and next steps to all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to cultivate relationships both internally and externally
  • Strong project management skills with expertise in leading, supporting, and executing projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent negotiation and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
  • Strategic mindset and critical thinking skills to align with organizational goals
  • Subject matter expert in standard analytical tools (i.e., Excel/Access)
  • Key understanding of budgets/corporate finances
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements with the ability to help ensure compliance

 

Education Requirements

Minimum: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree

 

 

Years of Experience

5-7 years of Supply Chain, Business Management, Finance, or equivalent work experience

Required Travel

Travel is not expected in this job; however, employees may be asked to travel for meetings or training on occasion.

Hybrid Work Environment

CCBSS operates a hybrid working environment.  This is a teleworking role that requires working at a CCBSS office location on a regular basis (or a minimum number of days per month or week) at the manager's discretion.  The number of days required at a CCBSS office location is at the manager's discretion and is subject to change depending on business needs.
