Financial Specialist I - Cost Accounting

Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing Supply Chain support for Material Master Data, Inventory, and Reporting for Client Bottlers. This position is responsible for developing sustainable internal and external stakeholder relationships and establishing oneself as a valued, trusted financial business partner for bottlers. This position will interact with a variety of external and internal stakeholders; including daily partnership with a BPO.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Subject matter expertise for SAP Inventory controls functionality and Materials Module; including BSNA bottler representation and advisory expertise
• Provide daily support to Bottler Inventory and Production teams to resolve issues and increase controls over inventory
• Prepare relevant inventory-related topics for discussion and lead monthly training to bottler Inventory and Production teams
• Ensure timely and accurate Month End Close inventory process according to Bottler and BSNA accounting standards and policies
• Provide operational and financial reporting for Inventory and Process Orders
• Financial responsibility for CONA standard cost and Material Master Data maintenance; including review of Material Master Data updates prepared by the BPO
• Responsible for working with client leadership on developing standard cost rates for commodities
• Coordinate monthly standard cost updates with BPO and the bottler finance teams
• Leverage financial and operational subject matter expertise to identify improvement opportunities and drive performance objectives
• Provide innovative ideas with the use of technology to increase efficiencies and/or drive customer value
• Ensure compliance with Client Bottler’s COA, internal controls, GAAP and other Company policies and procedures as required
• Other projects as needed to support bottler strategies and decision-making

Key Skills and Abilities

• Prior exposure to Cost Accounting including Inventory and Material MasterData
• Knowledge of SAP, Advance level Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, and Access Databases
• Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently and meet deadlines
• Independent Problem-solving/analytical thinking and decision-making skills
• A credit check is required for this position in Finance
• Hybrid Work Environment: Employees will be expected to work on-site a certain number of days each week and/or month at the manager’s discretion.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

Masters degree and/or CPA preferred

Years of Experience

Minimum 3 years finance and/or accounting experience (knowledge of SAP would be preferred)

Required Travel

Travel is not expected in this job, however, employees may be asked to travel for meetings or training on occasion.
