Job Summary
The primary objective of the Financial Specialist I – Marketing Accg is to provide business process and financial accounting support for Customer Marketing Agreements, Long-Term Marketing Contracts and Brand Funding activities. This position has responsibility for general ledger activities; ensure the accuracy and timeliness for month end close, journal entries, account reconciliations and to provide financial reporting and analysis, technical accounting guidance, and audit support to client bottlers.
This position also requires significant collaboration with bottler finance teams, bottler sales teams, and NAOU and 3rd party brand finance to ensure timely financial recognition and payment for long-term marketing contracts, as well as timely collection of brand funding support. This position provides exposure to many of the bottler’s marketing initiatives and brand introductions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute the month end close process for assigned areas of responsibility; including monthly reporting, analysis and reconciliations while ensuring the timeliness, accuracy, integrity and quality of the financial statements
- Provide accounting and analysis support to CMA Team to ensure accounts are free from material misstatements
- Provide operational leadership in tracking and managing long-term marketing contract payments; including adherence to contract terms and chart of authority
- Provide AR support for brand funding programs; including invoice creation, collections, and cash application
- Partner, support, and continually train the BPO team
- Review complex and material reconciliations and journal entries prepared by the BPO
- Cultivate relationships with assigned bottler for marketing accounting activities (bottler finance and sales team)
- Frequent interaction with external client finance teams & internal leadership teams
- Collaboration across CCBSS, Bottler Operations, and to support strategic initiatives
- Provide innovative ideas with the use of technology to increase efficiencies and/or drive customer value
- Partner with bottler to develop analytical reporting to support operational decision making
- Ensure internal controls for areas of responsibility are in place and maintained to include required documentation, reporting and support for internal and external auditors

Key Skills and Abilities
- Strong understanding of finance business processes and accounting policies/GAAP
- Knowledge of SAP, Blackline, Advance level Microsoft Excel, and PowerBI

Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Masters degree and/or CPA preferred
Years of Experience
Minimum 3 to 5 years finance and/or accounting experience (knowledge of SAP would be preferred)
Required Travel
Travel is not expected in this job, however, employees may be asked to travel for meetings or training on occasion.

CCBSS operates a hybrid working environment. This is a teleworking role that requires working at a CCBSS office location on a regular basis (or a minimum number of days per month or week) at the manager’s discretion. The number of days required at a CCBSS office location is at the manager’s discretion and is subject to change depending on business needs.
