Job Summary
As a member of the Record to Report (RTR) Finance team, this role’s primary accountability is to act as an operational lead and business process expert for client bottlers and CCBSS as it relates to Payroll Accounting. The role ensures the accuracy and timeliness for month end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting and analysis, technical accounting guidance, and audit support.
Additionally, this role will help support the end-to-end General Ledger Center of Excellence (COE) team for non-payroll processes, such as Fixed Assets, Cash, Equity investments, Long Term and Short Term notes, Workers Compensation and General Liability Insurance, Manual Accruals and AP activity and Income Tax accruals.
Role Overview
- Cultivate relationships across multiple bottlers for payroll accounting activities
- Frequent interaction with external client finance teams & internal leadership teams
- SME for CONA SAP system for payroll functionality
- Responsible for:
- Approximately 250 balance sheet reconciliations
- Approximately 194 month end close tasks
- Approximately 34,000 associates payroll processing representing $1.9 Billion in wages
Responsibilities
- Execute accounting functions including:
- Accrued salaries, wages, vacation & sick time
- Garnishments
- Employee and retiree benefits
- Cash funding and wires to banks
- Execute the month end close process for assigned areas of responsibility, including monthly reporting, analysis and reconciliations while ensuring the timeliness, accuracy, integrity and quality of the financial statements
- Provide CONA SAP system expertise for payroll functionality
- Identify & implement agreed upon business process opportunities
- Collaborate with HR Operations and external stakeholders partners
- Cultivate relationships with external client bottlers and external vendors (ADP & Genpact)
- Deliver and collaborate on appropriate client service level agreements, metrics and reporting
- Ensure internal controls supporting areas of responsibility are in place and maintained to include required documentation, reporting and support for internal and external auditors
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance
- Masters degree and/or CPA preferred
Years of Experience
- 5+ years of experience in accounting and financial analysis (SAP knowledge preferred)
- Solid understanding of finance business processes and accounting policies/GAAP and ability to apply

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to adjust to workload and hours when necessary
- Preferred: Previous bottling industry experience; payroll statutory compliance experience

- Hybrid Work Environment: Employees will be expected to work on-site a certain number of days each week and/or month at the manager’s discretion.
Required Travel
Travel is not expected in this job, however, employees may be asked to travel for meetings or training on occasion.
