Job Summary

The Sr. Compensation Analyst (SCA) has a strong role in the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs for Business Services North America (BSNA) internally, as well as with the bottler client groups that the BSNA Compensation team supports. The SCA completes complex analyses for salary administration programs; evaluates jobs; administers the annual Rewards Cycle for the bottlers and BSNA internally, and partners with Compensation Consultant in being the main points of contact for the bottlers. The SCA leads various meetings with client groups, which includes engaging with all levels of employees within the client group. Provides support and advice related to compensation guidelines, reviews exception requests related to wage changes, and other compensation elements in support of the client’s compensation philosophy; proactively looks for improvements to processes and protocol to ensure we have the most efficient processes in place; conducts audits for compliance with plan and program design, and provides analytical support to the compensation team (including analysis related to Sales and Field Supervisor quarterly incentive programs). The SCA is relied upon heavily for project management and analysis during the Annual Rewards Cycle and as needed for other ad hoc projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct job evaluations as needed for bottlers and BSNA using chosen methodology
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and validations as needed, including validations and analysis required for Sales & Field Supervisor incentive plans
  • Lead the annual rewards cycle process for assigned bottlers to include completing costing scenarios for establishing budgets and guidelines, assisting with configuration and testing of rewards tool (if applicable), providing payout files to Payroll, creation of statements, troubleshooting data or other issues that may arise during the cycle in order to successfully deliver all components of the cycle to include merit, annual bonus and long term incentives.
  • Partner with Compensation Consultant to create and manage the Annual Rewards timeline and communications for assigned bottler.
  • Maintain a database for evaluating salaried, hourly, middle, and top management positions using market data to complete the analysis
  • Participate in annual salary surveys
  • Support the Bottler Recognition and Service Anniversary Award programs and troubleshoot any data issues with the vendor on behalf of the bottler
  • Create and maintain process maps for clients
  • Determine the need for and develop client surveys
  • Compile data and summarize results of after action review, client surveys and team feedback to improve and enhance programs
  • Establish metrics for assigned bottlers based on the work BSNA compensation performs for them, and then measure performance against those metrics
  • Develop and maintain a scorecard around metrics for assigned bottler
  • Conduct research on best practices to determine if programs need to be updated or modified for new legislation or governance changes
  • Define, develop and prepare compensation communication materials
  • Develop and deliver training to HRBPs, managers, and associates as needed
  • Mentor and provide guidance and training to Compensation Analysts and Incentive Compensation Administrators
  • Develop user friendly dashboards to support client needs
  • Act as a SME on compensation-related questions and issues
  • Participate in additional projects as required

Education Requirements

Preferred: Year / Bachelors Degree
Minimum: High School or GED
 

Years of Experience

  • 3 years of compensation analysis, systems and administration; or at least 1 year of compensation analysis experience and 3 years’ experience in a field where strong analytical and statistical skills are required
  • 5 years in compensation analysis, systems and administration; or at least 1 year of compensation analysis experience and 5 years’ experience in a field where strong analytical and statistical skills are preferred
