Job Summary
The Recruiter serves as a subject matter expert, performing sourcing and selection activities for CCBSS hourly and salaried positions. This role ensures that proper strategies are in place to meet the organization's hiring needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders within assigned areas of responsibility
- Partner with hiring managers to review and clarify job specifications, required skills, and understand business operations
- Develop recruiting strategies to fill staffing needs
- Partner with HR Managers to ensure the execution of companywide policies and programs pertaining to recruitment and provide general assistance as needed in adherence to state and federal regulatory laws
- Manage the full life cycle recruiting process: locate candidates, screen & interview candidates, schedule interviews, coordinate a variety of other items related to recruitment scheduling, utilize Company applicant tracking software, sell the candidate on Company's attributes, extend verbal offer
- Engage the recruitment technology for the job posting process and properly maximize system capabilities while working within the standard processes.
- Develop sourcing plans specific to each job opportunity within designated locations and build a bench of diverse talent with candidates sourced and ready for interviewing and presentation to hiring managers
- Utilize proactive recruiting techniques, develop industry contacts, and select qualified individuals who will provide added value to the department, business objectives, and the Company
Duties and Responsibilities
- May advise hiring managers on appropriate recruitment and legal hiring/interviewing practices and procedures.
- Utilize behavioral interview techniques and web-based assessment tools to identify qualified candidates
- Utilize no-cost or low-cost recruiting methods to manage expenses
- Analyze the state of the talent market for competitiveness with respect to compensation and other factors.
- Assist Hiring Managers in developing and extending competitive job offers, and communicate acceptances to the appropriate contact to complete the hiring process.
- Other administrative duties as assigned and provide backup coverage for TA Coordinators.

Key Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of full-cycle recruiting processes
- Ability to identify sources for candidates and be strategic about difficult-to-source jobs
- Adept at conducting phone interviews and assessing fit verbally
- Ability to market and sell a company's attributes to external candidates
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multitask
- Employee Central experience preferred but not required
Education Requirements
Minimum: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline
Years of Experience
- 3+ years of Full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in a corporate environment, recruiting both salaried exempt, salaried non-exempt, and hourly non-exempt roles
- Experience with high-volume recruiting is a plus
Required Travel
Willingness and ability to travel as required based on business needs. Less than 5% travel.
Hybrid Work Environment
CCBSS operates a hybrid working environment. This is a teleworking role that requires working at a CCBSS office location on a regular basis (or a minimum number of days per month or week) at the manager’s discretion. The number of days required at a CCBSS office location is at the manager’s discretion and is subject to change depending on business needs.
